DAY 1 – KATHMANDU ARRIVAL DAY

Elevation: 1,350 m/4,428 ft

Welcome to Nepal and the start of our adventure!
We will be on hand to greet you upon your arrival and be with you every step of the way till the adventure ends. After transferring you to your hotel in Kathmandu, depending on your arrival time,  you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at your leisure. We’ll have a final briefing in the evening and then turn in early in advance of a big day tomorrow.

DAY 2 - KATHMANDU TO POKHARA

Elevation: 1,000 m/3,280 ft
Driving Distance: 6 to 8 hours

Rise and shine in buzzing Kathmandu! After breakfast at your hotel, we’ll embark on the first leg of our adventure – a 6 to 8 hours bus ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara. You’ll spend a night at Pokhara; a scenic town at the base of the Annapurna Range before we start our trek the following morning.

DAY 3 – POKHARA TO NAYAPUL & TREK TO TIKHEDHUNGA

Elevation: 1,050 m / 3,445 ft (Nayapul) to 1,540 m / 5,052 ft (Tikedhunga )
Walking Distance: Drive 45 mins. Trek 7 km (3 to 4 hours).
Accommodation: Tea house


We will start our day early with a post-breakfast drive to Nayapul, from where we will commence our Ghorepani-Poonhill-trekking. Entering the Annapurna Conservation Area, our path will take us uphill through fertile farms of rice, maize, and millet fields. We will follow the bank of the Modi River to Birethanti and from there, the trail continues through the village and follows the north bank of the BhurungdiKhola. Overnight in the small village of Tikhedhunga.

DAY 4 - TIKHEDHUNGA TO GHOREPANI

Elevation:  1,540 m /5,052 ft (Tikedhunga) to 2,750 m/ 9,022 ft (Ghorepani)
Walking Distance: 10 km (5 to 6 hours)
Accommodation: Tea house


Today’s trail began with some steep climbing as we head up what’s known locally as the “Ulleri Stairs”, a steep stone stairway of 3,767 steps to be exact—up the ridge line. At Uleri, we will be welcomed with stunning mountain views of Annapurna South, Himchuli and Mount Machhapuchre. The path of ascent is a rather scenic one, winding through forests
of magnolia and rhododendron. We continue our walk through the forest to reach Ghorepani. Overnight stay in Tea house.

DAY 5 - GHOREPANI TO POON HILL TO TADAPANI

Altitude: 3,210 m / 10,530 ft (Poon Hill), 2590m/8,500ft (Tadapani) 
Walking Distance: 12 km (5 to 6 hours)
Accommodation: Tea house


The day kicks off early as we begin our hike to the summit of Poon Hill to catch the spectacular sunrise, a indescribably surreal panorama of the three Himalayan peaks (Dhaulagiri I, Annapurna I and Manalsu) illuminated by the glowing rays of the sun while it rises. We’ll also be treated to views of the 6,000m-deep Kali Gandaki Gorge and the visual border of Nepal and Tibet. After relishing the magnificent sunrise view, we will return downhill to our Tea house for a hearty breakfast before continuing a full-day of trekking towards the small village of Tadapani. Overnight stay in Tea house.

DAY 6 - TADAPANI TO NAYAPUL AND DRIVE TO POKHARA

Elevation: 1,050 m /3,445 ft
Walking Distance: 10.5 km (4 to 5 hours)
Accommodation: Local hotel


Today will be the last day on the mountain, the trail continues to descend steeply all the way to Syauli Bazar. Our trek will end at Nayapul where you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Pokhara. We will reach Nayapul by early afternoon with plenty of time for you to enjoy the afternoon and
evening on your own. Pokhara is a relaxed lakeside town filled with cool cafés, restaurants, funky shops, and yoga studios waiting for you to discover.

DAY 7 - POKHARA TO KATHMANDU

Elevation: 1,350 m/4,428 ft
Driving Distance: 6 to 8 hours
Accommodation: Local hotel


We will take an early morning bus back to Kathmandu. You’ll be transferred to your hotel upon reaching and enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at your leisure to catch up on your much-needed rest. Otherwise, you have the entire capital at your fingertips for sightseeing before you depart tomorrow. Your conquest of the Himalayas is complete! We’ll meet up one last time for a celebratory dinner at one of the town’s finest Nepalese restaurants.

DAY 8 - KATHMANDU: DEPARTURE DAY

It’s your last day in Nepal! Grab some breakfast and take in some last-minute shopping in Kathmandu before we’ll say our goodbyes and bid you farewell. We’ll make sure you arrive at the Airport with plenty time before your flight home and have everything you need to leave well!
